- Decorating and set up in the cattle barn for Beef and Dairy is scheduled for Tuesday, August 3 at 10:00 a.m. -.
- There will be exhibitors’ meetings Thursday at 8:30 p.m. and Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings to set up herdsmanship, go over showing schedules and solve problems as they arise.
- Herdsmanship will be done on an individually assigned basis. Sign up will be done at the daily exhibitor meeting with the Barn Superintendent. When on duty you will be required to maintain your assigned area and inform the public about the exhibits.
- All exhibitors are required to participate in herdsmanship. Be sure to check in with the Barn Parent before and after your assigned time. If you miss your shift, double duty may be assigned. The second time your premium money will be withheld.
- The barns are to be clean and ready for the public by 9 a.m. each day.
- There will be no loitering in the barns. Our herdsmanship system is set up to allow our exhibitors free time to participate in and enjoy other portions of the Fair
- Exercising of the animals is to be done before 9:00 a.m. and after 6:30 p.m. unless otherwise posted.
- When returning from the show ring your own area must be cleaned up before leaving.
- All animals must be double tied with fire knots.
- The Beef-Dairy barn will be decorated as a whole this year, using the entries from our Poster Contest. Posters will be accepted during barn setup on Tuesday.
- In the Beef-Dairy barn the animals will be tied according to size and the contestants will show as individuals.
- All feeding and watering is to be done at an assigned time. Time to be set at the Exhibitors Meeting. Feeding and watering can be done in the barn.
- Any exhibitor found fighting, swearing, abusing animals, involved in excessive public displays of affection, or being unruly will be sent home immediately and all premiums will be withheld.
- All animals to be exhibited must be vaccinated prior to coming to the fair.
- No sharing of animals unless they are shared with primary exhibitors.
- Only 1 animal per exhibitor, this could change according to year and number of animals. Contact barn superintendent for more information.
- No animals under 4 months of age.
- Posters will be accepted on Tuesday during barn set-up and Thursday evening at registration.
- Exhibitor can either show a Dairy or Beef animal, not both, no exceptions.
- No horned animals.
